Biography
Mani Maserrat-Agah was born in Rasht, Iran. At the age of 13, Mani was sent to Stockholm, Sweden, by his parents in order to flee the Iranian regime and the existing war between Iran and Irak. He started to study economy at the University of Stockholm but changed direction in 1995 and entered the Kulturama film school. Before directing his first feature film, Ciao Bella (2007), he directed short films and series for Swedish Television. He has also been producer and assistant director on several feature films and commercials
