Plot summary
Actors practising method acting - how do they do it? Are the emotions used actually genuine? In this close up portrait we meet the actor and director Görel Crona and the actor Rafael Edholm, also a married couple, in their work with August Strindberg’s play ”Miss Julie” as well as their private relationship. ”Acting is for real, acting hurts,” says Görel Crona in this unique film that takes us on a journey from cold slaughterhouses in Stockholm to hot hotel rooms in Spain. We see Rafael in the leading role as the charismatic Jean. As Strindberg has instructed he penetrates his role, playing with fire. But where do you draw the line between professionalism and private life? What happens behind the scenes if you make love on stage?
