Marockos blå män (1956)

The theme for this subject is "going back in time". The action begins in the Sahara Desert in the southern portion of Morocco where the Blue Men of Morocco live today as they did i Biblical Times. The earlier part of the film shows camp life of the Blue Men. They raise camels, churn camel's milk, play desert checkers and drink tea. We follow them om their journey into Marrakech where they go to sell their camels. They arrive at an oasis and are greeted by the Harratines. We see how the Harratines use the water from the well for irrigation. The Blue Men replenish their water supply and then travel on, passing the Berber shepherds on their way. Finally, through a dust storm, they arrive at Marrakech. They sell their camels and shop for rugs and blue cloth. Here we see a meeting of the past with the present. The Blue Men return to their way of life, from this gay city whirl, and continue to live as in biblical times.
