‘Hole Boy’ and a colony of small, mutilated figures and objects live in a derelict factory building made of glass. Spik-Bebis (literally ‘Nail Baby’) is comprised of worrying camera angles, dream logic and frenetic montage. Like other films by Max Andersson it is silent, with black and white hybrids of live action and animation.

Max Andersson has won many awards for his short films. Spik-Bebis has been digitally restored by the Swedish Film Institute and is available with English subtitles.
