Biography
Swedish actor. Born Bill Istvan Günther Skarsgård. Son of actor Stellan Skarsgård and brother to actors Alexander Skarsgård and Gustaf Skarsgård.-Bill Skarsgård started acting at the age of ten, starring in the thriller White Water Fury / Järngänget (Jon Lindström, 2000). He later moved on to drama and comedies such as Simple Simon / I rymden finns inga känslor (Andreas Öhman, 2010), which got him the public prize at Seattle International Film Festival. Bill Skarsgård started acting at the age of ten, starring in the thriller White Water Fury / Järngänget (Jon Lindström, 2000). He later moved on to drama and comedies such as Simple Simon / I rymden finns inga känslor (Andreas Öhman, 2010), which got him the public prize at Seattle International Film Festival. He also starred in Behind Blue Skies / Himlen är oskyldigt blå (Hannes Holm, 2010), which was selected for Toronto International Film Festival, and in the coming of age drama Simon and the Oaks / Simon och ekarna (Lisa Ohlin, 2011) based upon the novel by Marianne Fredriksson.
In 2011 The European Film Promotion (EFP) selected Skarsgård as one of the ten upcoming actors and actresses in Europe to be presented as the Shooting Star line-up during Berlin International Film Festival 2012.
