Biography
Born in Arvidsjaur, Sweden. Made his directional debut with One Christmas Morning (2002) which won several awards including The Tromsö Palm for best nordic short. Eklund's next short film - Situation Frank (2007) - was selected for Critic's Week in Cannes 2007 and the following one Instead of Abracadabra (2008) won the award for Best Swedish Short at Göteborg International Film Festival 2008 as well as several awards at international festivals, was the talk of the town at Sundance 2009 and was Oscar nominated for Best Short Film in 2009....

His next short, Seeds of the Fall (2009), was screened in Cannes in Critic´s Week. Eklund is currently working on his first feature film.
Lives in Stockholm where he runs the production company FrameStation. Worked as a hotel cleaner for a month.
