It’s 1968. Men are in charge and the world is burning. In other words, not much has changed since the world burned in 411 BC, when Aristophanes wrote "Lysistrata". In that work, Lysistrata wanted to end the twenty-year war between Athens and Sparta, by making the women swear to deny the men sex. When a theatre company wants to put the play on in modern times, it’s not long before the cast start seeing their own lives and relationships through fresh eyes.
