Plot summary
The Dane Michael Soussan gets his dream job as a lobbyist with the UN Oil for Food programme, but gets caught up in one of the UN's biggest corruption scandals. Michael is drawn into a struggle for power between dysfunctional diplomats, cynical governments and greedy corporations that earn a lot of money on Iraq's oil at a time when Saddam Hussein is still in power.
