Plot summary
Seven decades have passed since the wartime atomic bombing of Hiroshima. At the time of the city's destruction the old grandfather was a schoolboy who witnessed but survived the catastrophe. Now, as he is watching a newscast where two fellow-countrymen are being executed by terrorists, horrid memories of August 6, 1945, are reawakened. He is deeply anxious that senseless brutality should not be repeated generation after generation and teaches his grandchild to question - why war?
