Peter Grönlund finished The Stockholm Film School in 2006. Since then he has held various jobs within the Swedish film industry, such as production assistant and location manager. He also has a background as a social worker, working with drug addicts, mentally ill and homeless people; an experience which is reflected in the subject matters of his films.
