Plot summary

Niklas is a truck driver in a chipboard factory in a small community in northern Sweden. He is a lonely bachelor, who longs for someone to love and share his future with - but girls are in short supply and his mother tries to help her unenterprising son. Repeated threats of redundancies make the future in the small community uncertain. Irritation grows between those who work for a living and the community’s “parasites”. And when it becomes clear that the factory is to close, things really get out of hand. Niklas and the people around him are changed beyond recognition.
