Plot summary
Elsa hasn't slept a wink in 30 years. One early morning, Night comes to visit. "You're not allowed to be here," says Elsa and puts it in a biscuit tin. Fourteen hours later, it is still daytime. Owls and bats flap drowsily around, and people on the streets yawn and rub their eyes. Elsa takes Night out again and starts talking about her life.
