Biography
Rainer Hartleb, born in Germany, has made several documentary films for Sveriges Television (SVT) where he started to work as a director in 1968. In 1972 he started to work on the Jordbro series, the result so far being six documentary films on the children in the Stockholm suburb Jordbro: Barnen från Jordbro, Leva i Jordbro (1972-1981), Tillbaka till Jordbro (1987), Det var en gång... en liten flicka (1992), En pizza i Jordbro (1994) and Alla mår bra (2006). In 1972 he started to work on the Jordbro series, the result so far being six documentary films on the children in the Stockholm suburb Jordbro: Barnen från Jordbro, Leva i Jordbro (1972-1981), Tillbaka till Jordbro (1987), Det var en gång... en liten flicka (1992), En pizza i Jordbro (1994) and Alla mår bra (2006). En pizza i Jordbro received the Swedish National Guldbagge Award as well as the Filmcritics' Prize and in 1996 the whole series was showed at Berlin International Film Festival and many other festivals worldwide.
